MADE2MANAGE INTEGRATES FORECAST PRO INTO NEW DEMAND PLANNING MODULE, DELIVERING ACCURATE FORECASTS TO SMALL AND MIDSIZE MANUFACTURERS.

October 1, 1999. Made2Manage Systems, Inc. has integrated Business Forecast Systems, Inc.’s industry-leading Forecast Pro® software into the new Made2Manage Demand Planning Module. The new integrated module is scheduled for release with Made2Manage 3.1 in October, 1999.

According to Business Forecast Systems Vice President Eric Stellwagen, “The role of the forecast is critical to all planning systems—it is the number around which all the decisions are made. Using Forecast Pro’s accurate statistically-based forecasting improves the overall planning process. It allows Made2Manage customers to reduce inventory and stock outs without sacrificing customer service.”

The Demand Planning Module provides both “hands-off” and “hands-on” forecasting. The system automatically generates forecasts behind the scenes using a library of Forecast Pro forecasting algorithms. The user can also access a fully interactive version of Forecast Pro XE and exploit all of its graphical, reporting and advanced modeling capabilities. “It’s truly the best of both worlds,” comments Stellwagen. “You get a solid base-line forecast automatically and can also exploit all of Forecast Pro’s interactive capabilities, if you so desire.”
